Meet Eddie Nashar

Oral Health Therapist (Extended Scope) & Founder of Access Oral Care

Adelaide local Eddie Nashar is an Oral Health Therapist (with extended scope) and the founder of Access Oral Care. He graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Adelaide in 2006. During his final year, he was awarded a scholarship to attend and present at the World Oral Health Week Seminar at INHolland University in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Eddie is passionate about improving access to oral health care across all stages of life, with a particular focus on children and older Australians. He believes that establishing positive dental experiences early in life is key to lifelong oral health, while also recognising the importance of preserving comfort, dignity and wellbeing in later years.

Working closely with children, families and communities to build healthy habits from a young age, Eddie creates positive and supportive dental experiences that help reduce fear and anxiety. At the same time, he is dedicated to supporting older Australians, particularly those in aged care, who may face barriers to accessing dental services.

Eddie is highly experienced in caring for anxious patients of all ages and is known for his calm, gentle, and compassionate approach. Whether it's a child attending their first dental appointment or an older person with complex medical needs or cognitive decline, Eddie strives to create an environment where every patient feels safe, respected and at ease.

Throughout his 20 year career, Eddie has seen firsthand the impact oral health has on overall health, wellbeing and quality of life. He is passionate about bridging gaps in oral health services by bringing accessible, preventive care directly to people in their everyday environments, supporting better oral health at every stage of life. This vision inspired him to establish Access Oral Care.

His goal is simple: to ensure that quality oral health care is accessible to everyone, regardless of age, mobility or location.

Today, Access Oral Care delivers on that vision by bringing professional oral health care directly to aged care facilities, retirement living communities, schools, preschools / kindergartens, childcare centres, community organisations, workplaces and other locations across Adelaide and surrounding regions. By removing barriers, Access Oral Care makes preventive, high-quality dental care and treatment more convenient and accessible.

When he's not caring for patients, Eddie enjoys spending quality time with his wife and four children.
