OUR CORE SERVICES
-
We provide comprehensive dental assessments to identify existing concerns, monitor your oral health and develop personalised treatment recommendations. As part of the examination, a thorough oral cancer screening will be completed. Where clinically required, dental x-rays may also be taken to detect areas between the teeth and assess conditions that may not be visible during a clinical examination, including beneath the gums.
Regular examinations play a vital role in preventing dental disease, maintaining oral health, and supporting overall wellbeing.
During your appointment, we will also provide personalised oral health education, including oral hygiene instructions and dietary advice, equipping you with the knowledge and practical skills to maintain a healthy mouth and reduce your risk of tooth decay and gum disease.
-
Our dental professionals recommend brushing twice daily with a fluoridated toothpaste and cleaning in between your teeth to remove food and plaque and maintain a healthy mouth.
While daily brushing will help remove soft plaque from the teeth, calculus (or tartar) build up is unfortunately impossible to remove with your toothbrush. With a porfessional clean we will remove plaque, calculus and staining to help maintain healthy teeth and gums while reducing the risk of dental disease. We may also recommend a fluoride treatment to remineralise early decay and reduce sensitivity.
For healthy mouths, we recommend having a professional dental clean every 6 months. In cases of periodontitis (gum disease), we would recommend treatment every 3 months.
-
Periodontal (gum) disease is a common bacterial infection affecting the gums and supporting structures of the teeth. If left untreated, it can lead to gum recession, loose teeth and tooth loss and has been linked to other health conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. Early diagnosis and professional periodontal treatment help control the disease, preserve natural teeth and support overall health and wellbeing. Our dental professionals will identify and treat periodontal disease using evidence based, non-surgical treatment onsite. For more extensive cases, we may refer patients to relevant specialists.
-
Early treatment of tooth decay can often be managed with a simple, tooth-coloured filling. Restorative treatment strengthens the tooth, restores its natural appearance and function and helps prevent the need for more complex dental procedures. We also offer the option of stainless steel crowns for the protection of baby teeth in children where required.
Untreated decay can cause the bacteria in the teeth to spread and further break down the tooth structure, leading to bad breath, pain, infection and potential loss of the tooth.
If we can identify decay early enough, we may be able to avoid the need for any fillings and offer other treatment options which can be discussed with you.
-
Following each assessment, we provide a comprehensive written oral health report detailing our findings, recommended treatment and ongoing care requirements. These reports ensure parents, families, carers and healthcare providers are kept informed, supporting continuity of care and helping everyone involved make informed decisions about maintaining long-term oral health.
